Boston.com’s ‘The Big Picture’ is a photo-driven gallery template that runs on the Boston Globe’s website every few days; lately, it’s focused a lot of its photo editing prowess on the BP Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Here’s a link to the latest Big Picture gallery, which looks at the oil spill, two months into the catastrophe.

From the daily influx of images from various sources around the Gulf, Boston. com consistently does a great job of distilling things down to the images with impact. Check it out and you’ll learn something about the oil spill but also about great photography.
